About the Department
Established in 2019, the Department of Paediatrics at AIIMS Gorakhpur is dedicated to advancing the health of infants, children, and adolescents through innovative medical care, research, education, training, and advocacy.
Our faculty comprises experienced professionals from across the nation who are committed to promoting paediatric health and research. The department offers broad-based training in general paediatrics, critical care, and paediatric subspecialties within a variety of ambulatory, inpatient, and community settings. Integrated with our educational activities, these programs provide hands-on learning to equip our graduates, postgraduates, and doctoral students with the skills required to become future advocates for children's health.
We aim to deliver state-of-the-art tertiary care services in the region and envision that our collaborations with various research organizations will result in impactful research, transforming discoveries into effective diagnostics, treatments, and preventive therapies.
The department is committed to fostering progressive research, advancing knowledge, and achieving clinical excellence, while ensuring the availability of affordable healthcare for all children in this region.
Our goal is to be leaders in child health with unsurpassed credentials. Guided by our core principles of C.A.R.E — Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence — we foster an environment of teamwork, collaboration, innovation, and inspiration.
