About the Department:

The Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism at AIIMS Gorakhpur was established in December 2025 and provides compassionate, safe, and evidence-based care for Paediatric, Adolescent and Adult Endocrinological conditions. Serving a large population from the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh, adjoining areas of Bihar, and Nepal, the department functions as an important referral centre for specialized endocrine care.

The department offers outpatient and inpatient services for a wide range of congenital and acquired endocrine conditions. Care is delivered through a multidisciplinary, approach in close coordination with allied specialties. With a focus on quality care and continuous improvement, the department is committed to capacity building and plans to expand into structured teaching, training, and research activities in the future.
