Dr. Shreyas K
Assistant Professor
About the Department:
The Department of Pediatric Surgery at AIIMS Gorakhpur provides compassionate,
safe, and evidence-based care for pediatric surgical and pediatric urological conditions
in neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. Serving a large population from the
Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh, adjoining areas of Bihar, and Nepal, the department functions as an important referral centre for specialized pediatric surgical care.
The department offers outpatient, inpatient, operative, and round-the-clock emergency
services for a wide range of congenital and acquired pediatric surgical and urological
conditions. Care is delivered through a multidisciplinary, child-centred approach in
close coordination with allied specialties.
With a focus on quality care and continuous improvement, the department is committed
to capacity building and plans to expand into structured teaching, training, and research
activities in the future.
Vision
To ensure the highest standards of pediatric surgical and pediatric urological care,
giving every child the best chance for a healthy future.
Mission
• To provide the highest quality pediatric surgical and pediatric urological care
with an emphasis on safety, precision, and long-term functional outcomes.
