INTRODUCTION

The department of Dentistry, AIIMS Gorakhpur started Outpatient (OPD) services on 24th February 2019 with the determination to establish high standards in education, research & the highest level of evidence-based oral healthcare.

The department is committed to provide tertiary level patient care to the population of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand & Neighbouring country (i.e, Nepal).

The Department has provided General dentistry services and speciality services in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Pediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, Periodontics & Endodontics. With emphasis on Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery cases, i.e, Corrective and Restorative Surgery, Jaw Surgery, Facial trauma surgery, TMJ surgery, Cosmetic surgery& early Detection, Prevention, Diagnosis of Oral cancer and management of Potentially malignant oral lesions etc. The Department is actively involved in research and academic activities.

The department of Dentistry started IPD & OT Services in 2022 as the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery faculty have joined the institute.
