Assistant Professor
About the Department
The Department of Cardiology at AIIMS Gorakhpur was established in mid-2024
with the vision of providing tertiary cardiac care to large, underserved areas of Eastern Uttar Pradesh
and adjoining regions. Alongside patient services, the department was envisioned to train fellows in
up-to-date, guideline-based management of cardiac conditions, while also promoting quality research in the field of Cardiology.
Within a short span of time, the department has witnessed a total footfall of nearly
25,000 patients (including about 4,000 referred patients) and has successfully conducted approximately 2,500 echocardiography (ECHO) studies.
Currently Available Services

Outpatient (OPD) and Inpatient (IPD) Services:
The Department of Cardiology provides comprehensive care through daily outpatient services addressing a wide spectrum of cardiac illnesses.
Inpatient services are currently provided through the Department of Medicine via central emergency services.
